Creating is the music that ignites the soul. The materials are dancing partners and the textures complement every move. My work is created much like a dance.  The rhythm flowing from my finger tips.  As an artist, I tap into my soul with multiple mediums, but mostly build with clay and paint with acrylics. My subject matters are usually influenced by situations or color combinations that “ride the fence”. Most often a very cute/ pretty color will be paired with a color I would consider dirty by appearance.  This creates interest for the viewer.   The same can be found in my use of textures.  They are mostly organic, bone- like textures that are treated with a candy-like finish. My work spans many influences. It encompasses dishware, animal wall mounts, and paintings resembling Dia de los Muertos crossed with ideas of the Renaissance.  With my work I share the music that I create and inviting the viewer to take a moment to dance.
